Dogs with docked tail and cropped ears can be entered with a next rules:

The Hungarian Kennel Club, in line with FCI regulations, will not allow the participation of the dogs with cropped ears and/or tails in the events after January 1, 2025, for the following breeds:

1. List of the breeds - standard modified by FCI

• Dobermann (143)

• Miniature Schnauzer (183), Schnauzer (182), Giant Schnauzer (181)

• Neapolitan Mastiff (197)

• Boxer ((144)

• Great Dane (235)

• German Pinscher (184)

• Rottweiler (147)

• Miniature Pinscher (185)

2. List of the breeds - standard NOT modified by FCI

For all those FCI breeds where the standard description includes the option of cropped ears/tails, the Hungarian Kennel Club introduces the rule that the dogs born after January 1, 2025, will not be allowed to participate in the Hungarian Kennel Club events with cropped ears and/or cropped tails. Dogs with cropped ears/tails born before January 1, 2025 can be presented at our events until January 1, 2027.

Exceptions to this rule are those individuals who were born with genetically proven short tails and the hunting dog breeds: III. FCI Group– Jagd terrier, and VII. FCI Group, for which the standard allows the presentation of individuals with docked tails becuase hunting suitability.

The rules for judging of breeding tests were determined individually by breeder clubs, but these rules apply to breeding tests held together with CAC and CACIB events too.
